Google Maps does not have satellite images of one of the tallest buildings in the world

Both Google Maps and Bing Mpas have their strengths and weaknesses, depending on which service they offer a more complete view depending on the geographical points in question. In fact, Bing has added more than 129 TB to expand its available data, in turn Google has not remained immobile and has opted to detail some monuments in 3D. In this comparison we will stop at museums, monuments and some of the most exotic areas of the planet to check the quality and definition of both services.

1. Hagia Sophia- Istanbul, Turkey

The old Orthodox Basilica of Hagia Sophia, converted into a museum and located in the city of Istanbul, presents more vivid colors seen from Google Maps, on the other hand, from Bing Maps the images have the upper hand if we stop at the details, especially at the time to observe the complexities of the roof.

In this case, the winner for the quality of its service in defining the most notable details is Bing Maps.

2. Moritzburg Castle- Germany

The baroque castle of Moritzburg, located in the small town with the same name, shines in Bing Maps, since in Google Maps the colors look very dull and offer almost no details, so once again Bing Maps wins.

3. Durrat Al Bahrain - Kingdom of Bahrain

The stunning islands of the Kingdom of Bahrain look equally good from both Google Maps and Bing Maps, with a wealth of detail from both services, albeit with a notable difference in color reproduction.

4. Fields near San Agustín- Andalusia (Spain)

The fields near the Andalusian town of San Agustín, present images rich in detail in Google Maps, but in Bing the colors give a really authentic feeling. Ultimately there would be a technical tie between Google Maps and Bing Maps.

5. Mendenhall-Juneau Glacier (Alaska)

The details, shadows and colors that appear reflected in the images of Bing Maps contrast with those taken by Google Maps, captured on a less sunny day than those of Bing, so in this case the winner is Microsoft's map service.

6. Mountains of Morocco- Assa (Morocco)

Both Goolge and Bing have very well mapped the mountains of Morocco, at the same level of detail, but with color differences, so both would be tied in the quality of service.

7. Burj Dubai-Dubai (United Arab Emirates)

Oddly enough, Google Maps does not have satellite images of one of the tallest buildings in the world, the Burj Al Arab. However, in Bing the colors of the skyscraper are very vivid and the details are very fine and do not look slanted, so it is Bing Maps that offers the highest image quality in this case.

8. Taipei 101-Taiwan

Another high-rise building is Tapei 101, of which Google Maps offers better images than Bing, with blurry details.

9. Sarychev Volcano- Russia

To take the images of the stratovolcano located in the Russian islands of Kuriles, Google Mpas really chose a bad day, because the island of the volcano appears only in green, while in Bing Mpas each and every one of the colors of the volcano can be appreciated.

10. Province of Samuel Oropeza- Chuquisaca (Bolivia)

The Oropeza Mountains in Bolivia appear imposing in both Google Maps and Bing Maps images, although both were taken at different times, they are very well detailed.

Finally for this comparison, Bing Maps gets five best images out of ten possible, while Google Maps achieves one and four ties.
